Bleep Workshops
A typical workshop would consist of three sessions lasting around two hours per session, one session per week. This arrangement is very flexible and can be tailored to your needs.
Session one: Introduction, demonstration and discussion on what style of music is preferred. Once a style has been established we move straight on to creating a musical piece within that genre.
At the end of the session, all participants receive a C.D. of the track to study and make notes on any changes they would like and also to start writing lyrics.
Session two: Review track, discuss individuals notes and implement any changes to the music. Discuss group’s lyrics and agree on song structure (i.e. verses, chorus etc.). Start recording vocals.
Again, at the end of this session everyone will have a copy of the work in progress to take away and continue making notes.
Session three: Review track, add any more vocals that need to be recorded, start on the mix-down of the track. This process includes adding any sound effects, extra melodies etc. After this session, a complete song has been created from start to finish with contributions from everyone in the group. A completed C.D. is given to everybody involved.
During the workshops, we encourage everyone to work together. We identify all of the basic building blocks needed to construct an original track i.e. drums, bass, keyboards etc. All members of the group will be encouraged to contribute to the writing process, although there will never be any pressure on anyone to do anything they feel uncomfortable with.
